I was excited to review this book and the entire series of books. This series is about a group of girls, friends from college, and their getting together on New Year’s Eve. When they were in college, they made a list of qualities they wanted to find in a husband. With all of them single again, they make a new list and challenge to find someone by next year. This is Melissa’s story. Melissa is currently attending grad school and on her way to a study session with Jason, she is involved in a crash. Her knight and shining armor arrives to help rescue her from her injuries. Soon she finds herself with her previous high school boyfriend who when he let her go, really hurt her heart. Not knowing if she should trust him, Melissa dates him with caution.I enjoyed this story in this series as well. I didn’t connect with it as well as the first book, but overall I liked the story. This romance story is largely drawn on insecurities of both Melissa and Matt. The author is able to throw both characters into situations that cause the other one to remember the past. I do have to say I disliked both Annie and Jeff, but did really like Captain Carter. The benefit dinner at the end was my favorite part of the book.I would recommend this book to those reading the series and anyone who likes a sweet, quick read romance.
