A Date with a Book

I love reading and you will always catch me with a book. While I love all mysteries and romances, I am particularly stuck on Cozy Mysteries.

freefall - Susan Rae I felt this book had a rough start just with the way that it was bringing things together. However, the story immediately took off and I was hooked. I chose to read this book because I love a good romantic suspense. This book had both the suspense and romance. I definitely could compare this to a Sandra Brown type book. After the story took off, this book was a page turner and did not let me down. I also loved that the story continued to the end and that there wasn’t any extra “filler” at the end. When the mystery is solved and the romance finalized, it was over. I enjoy that in a book. Unless of course, there may be another in the “series”. I enjoyed all of the characters. Kate obviously was dealing with a lot as far as her brother and then remembering past events. She was a little hesitant to the romance, but I adored how Larsen was able to handle her. Larsen was a tough man and proved to be her hero. Kate being a strong woman, Larsen knew he couldn’t smother her, but was able to prove he had something to give. J.T. just gave me the creeps, even in the beginning. Wow!I definitely recommend this book to all lovers of romantic suspense. The mystery plot is something new to me. I have not read it in other romantic suspense books. I liked the newness of that whole idea. I would give this book 4 stars as it got me hooked and kept me reading to the end.
