A Date with a Book

I love reading and you will always catch me with a book. While I love all mysteries and romances, I am particularly stuck on Cozy Mysteries.

Tilt-a-Whirl - Chris Grabenstein Originally posted at A Date with a BookI chose to read this book mainly because the title and cover made it seem like fun, and I also love a great mystery book. And yes, this book was both. A quick read, as Grabenstein has create a unique little community including its city employees and citizens. The police force duo, Ceepak and Danny, are a lot of fun. Danny is basically Ceepak’s side kick and his driver. Danny is a police volunteer testing the waters to see if he does want to be a full-time cop. With the difference of age, it does have is interesting moments, but this does very much aid in the solving of the crime at the end of the book. The story following the solving of the crime was excellent. Going through each piece of evidence and how it was thought to link to the crime. Ending was a surprise. There is also a lot of drama that unfolds in the end. Good story.I enjoyed this book enough that I purchased the next two books in the series from Amazon. They were 99 cents each, which was the purchase price of this book.I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good mystery. It is definitely not a cozy, but it is not real hard core. There isn’t any gore or descriptive scenes that are unsettling. There are moments of laughter and well worth the read.
